The summer wedding season is in full swing, and if you have a lot of wedding-related events to attend, you're probably trying to figure out what you're going to wear for all of them. Here are two simple methods to build a versatile capsule wardrobe that will sustain you through all of the festivities. The key? Pick a focus.
METHOD #1 : FOCUS ON THE DRESS
The unspoken fashion rule that you can't wear an outfit twice is just silly, but I can understand not wanting to wear the same dress to multiple weddings, especially if you're a dress lover/collector. Stock up on a handful of fun, wedding-appropriate dresses while keeping accessories minimal and classic, allowing the dress to be the statement piece of each outfit.
METHOD #2 : FOCUS ON THE ACCESSORIES
Find just one or two basic yet elegant dresses that will be easy to dress up or down and focus on changing up your look with a variety of accessories. Think colorful shoes, statement necklaces, different styles of jackets and cardigans, etc. (You can shop unique, handmade jewelry at my accessories boutique here!)
If dresses aren't your cup of tea, you could always swap them out with separates. For example, a dressy pair of culottes with the right top could be just as chic without sacrificing style. Make it your own!
